What's In A Name
Kilian - Small church, bright headed, war, from brilliant mind, warrior
Race - Amelia wanted to name him Race Car, so we decided why not and told her Race could be his middle name - she calls him this most of the time.King Kilian - So..one punchy night, we were joking with his nurses about how particular Kilian is about everything. Move his arm in a position he doesn't like? Stats drop, alarms go off...so dramatic. One nurse said something about 'your highness', and I said "Just call him King Kilian..", Kevin said "how may I please you today sir?", and the nurses started bowing down. I'm positive it's one of those, 'had to be there' moments but I'm telling you, all of us were laughing like hyenas in the middle of the NICU.
I think all of these names could not be more fitting. Warrior, this ones obvious. Race..because everything he does escalates so quickly, like the fact that he just had to race outta the womb two months early, peace out. And King, because it's his way or the highway.
It is incredible to me, the amount of personality this tiny human has at just three weeks old. Not only that, but before he was even born..all his little shenanigans during ultrasounds. He's had everyone laughing AND crying since day one.
And that's how complex this little ball of chaos is. He brings so much emotion, in both directions. The good and the bad. His situation brings pain, but he brings so much joy.. the darkness, and the light. All that he is, is so big..despite him being so small. The impact he has had on so many people speaks volumes to everything he is.
And just when you think you have him figured out, there he goes. He keeps you on your toes and at the edge of your seat, and I couldn't love who he is more.
